A Word from Our Executive Producer
Hi everyone. I’m Jessica Mariko, executive producer and creative principal for The Haunted Road.
First things first – I’m very sorry this past Saturday night was a disappointing experience for many, we're as disappointed as you are. The night was very far from what we had envisioned, in part due it being the very first night and the challenges that come with that, plus additional issues, such as being over capacity.
We’ve heard your feedback, and we’re working around the clock to make changes and improve. The changes we’re making include reduced capacity each event night, which will help with wait times not only to enter the event, but also will help move from scene to scene faster. We’re also tweaking the show to give you more of those scares we know you’re looking for.
For those of you that attended Saturday's event, I'm sorry for the extreme wait times. If you had to turn around and never made it to the entrance, we'll refund the cost of your ticket. For those that waited and went through the show, we would love for you to give us another opportunity to give you the experience we intended, and will offer you complimentary tickets to come back at a night of your choosing. Our small but mighty Box Office team is working hard to contact everyone, and we appreciate your understanding that it will take a little longer than usual for them to reach or get back to everyone.
Our entire team is composed of local Orlando talent, artists and creative people that got together to develop an event with two goals in mind – to offer some outdoor Halloween fun this season, and also to get our local entertainment community back to work. You all have supported this event from the start, and we will do everything we can to make this right for you, for our performers and staff.
